Some states require you to register to use the interviews, but other states do not. The interview will tell you whether registration is required. You must register and sign in if you want to save your work to come back later. This is important if you need to exit the system before you are done with your interview. For states that allow e-filing, you also must register and sign in to e-file your forms.
If you would like to register with Guide & File, click on the person icon at the upper right corner of the screen, then select the "Register" option in the dropdown menu that appears.
You will then be taken to the Registration Form. Fill in the entire form, then click the blue Register button to submit your registration. An activation email will be sent to you; click the URL in the email to activate your new account.
Note: Filers without lawyers cannot register on the eFile websites in New Mexico or New Hampshire. Please contact your local court for guidance on how to file your documents in those states.
- You must have a physical address in the United States in order to register.
